Junior Racing Programs

The Junior Race program is for kids ages 7 to 20. Participants in the Junior Race program spend more time in the gates and actively compete. There are two different options within the Junior Race program. The first is the Interclub program, which features a more recreational orientation and includes competitions at five different ski areas per year. The Tri-State program is for more aggressive competitors, and features coaching at Catamount and racing throughout the region most weekends of the year. Regardless of which program your child is in, you can count on this: your children will have a ball while they improve their skills.

Wednesday Night Racing

Gather some friends and team up for Catamount’s Wednesday Night Racing starting January 9th and ending February 20th. The teams will consist of 5 racers per team with 2 runs per racer.  On the 2nd run the order is reversed.  Scoring is based on a points system and there are penalties for no-shows and no second runs. Collect individual points for the Awards Banquet at season’s end. Don’t have a team of 5? Don’t worry. We can put teams together for you. We understand your desire for fun and the need for speed. This is a great time and place to have fun, show off what you have and earn your bragging rights!  Click here to sign up.

Introduction to Ski Racing -- DEVO

New to Catamount this year!

This program is designed for young kids who have an interest in developing their fundamental skiing skills and want to have a blast ripping around the mountain with other like-minded contemporaries. Kids are grouped together based upon a combination of age (social maturity/compatibility) and skill level considerations. Kids in the Devo Program will concentrate, first and foremost, on focused free skiing and drills designed to address balance, agility, edging, and rotary skills. Some devo kids will eventually progress further through the Race Program pipeline, graduating to Interclub or USSA racing as U12 or U14, while others will simply enjoy the Devo experience itself and use it to become better, all-round skiers. For more information click here. To sign up click here.

Interclub Alpine Team

The Interclub Team is for skiers more advanced than those in DEVOs who want to focus
on developing sound skills and the technical aspects of skiing in a fun environment that
includes free skiing, drills, gate training and races at other ski areas. The focus should not
be on race results but on developing sound fundamental skills necessary for good skiing. For more information on the Interclub Alpine Team click here. To sign up click here.
