Ticket Sales & Cashiers



Great guest relations are vital to Catamount. Catamount cashiers are usually the first team members that guests come in contact with and therefore, they must make a good initial impression. A cashier must accurately tender purchases at cash registers, provide change and maintain a balanced drawer in a friendly manner. Catamount cashiers are deployed to one of three areas for the duration of the winter: the Ticket Booth, the Snow Sports Desk or the Mountain Cats Desk. In the spring, summer and fall, they work for the Adventure Park. This is a seasonal position, both full and part-time.

. Greet and assist guests as they approach the counter
. Explain prices and promotions
. General knowledge of mountain required to assist guests with inquiries
. Accept/understand current coupons, verify authenticity of each
. Sell lift tickets
. Sell group or private lessons (position dependent)
. Activate rental forms.
. Issue refunds
. Answer telephone
. Return calls made to reservation desk in a timely manner
. Must be able to work quickly and accurately
. Make sure drawer contents are counted and accurate before opening
. Keep track of all voids and over-rings
. Ring in proper payment with each transaction
. Assure payment is made for every item
. Help with closing procedures
. Maintain a friendly, team spirit with a focus on guest service

. Previous customer service and cash handling experience preferred
. Should be familiar with reservation and Point of Sale (POS) systems
. Understand how to use the back-up credit card terminal
. Must be able to work flexible hours/days of the week including weekends and holidays
. Must be able to communicate well and follow instructions
. Be cheerful, patient, alert, and courteous at all times with people of all ages
. Basic computer and keyboard experience required
. Be mature, levelheaded, and not easily flustered by large crowds
. Must be able to work independently, as well as, part of a team
. It is extremely important to be familiar with what is offered in different areas of the park, lodge, food, in order to direct our guest.

. Must be well groomed, self disciplined, and willing to comply with uniform guidelines
. Able to speak, read, and write clearly in English
. Excellent math skills, ability to properly count out change
. Should not mind being confined to a booth
. Ability to work harmoniously/diplomatically with a variety of people including the public
. Drug-free workplace, may be subject to drug screening and/or background check

. While performing the duties of this job, incumbent performs majority of duties in standard buildings, and is exposed to
extreme temperatures and inclement weather. Incumbent occasionally works extended and evening and holiday hours
and is regularly required to:
. Walk at will over uneven, icy and snow-covered footpaths, occasionally
. Reach, handle, grasp and finger keyboard/cash machine
. Repetitive keyboard motion
. May require sitting or standing for an extended period of time.

Aerial Adventure Park Monitor


Aerial Adventure Park Monitor

Catamount’s Aerial Adventure Park Monitors are the eyes and ears of the park. Their primary responsibility is to provide assistance and guidance to guests while communicating directly and clearly.
The interaction between guests and park monitors support the goal that guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
. Greet and communicate with guests with a friendly disposition and professional demeanor
. Harness guests as well as deliver instructional safety briefings and gear demonstrations
. Provide regular presentations to groups throughout the day
. Ensure guests, with instruction, are able to access age/skill appropriate courses
. Observe and assist guests as they maneuver throughout the park
. Provide guests with general park information and direction as needed
. Check, process, and maintain park equipment
. Assist with daily safety course inspections, park grounds maintenance and course maintenance as needed
. Maintain the highest quality standards of performance
. Successfully complete the orientation and training period
. Perform assists for guests on the courses as needed
. The following levels dictate the type of assistance that can be performed by each monitor:
. Monitors – Level 1 – must provide verbal assists
. Monitors – Level 2 – able to perform physical and standard assists
. Monitors – Level 2T – able to perform tandem assists
. Other additional duties as assigned.

. 18+ years of age
. CPR/First Aid certification
. Pass criminal history and sexual offender registry background checks
. Be able to lift 50 pounds and comfortable working at heights up to 50 feet preferred
. Regular weekend availability; ideally will also have flexible weekday availability and be able to commit to the full season
. Comfortable with public speaking and possess strong communication skills with a kind, patient approach to working with people
. Reliable with strong work ethics, personal integrity, extreme dedication to safety, and attention to detail
. Passion for working outdoors and comfortable working in all weather conditions
. Able to quickly and competently learn new skill sets both in training and on the job
. Able to pass drug test because this is a drug-free workplace
. Climbing experience preferred, but not required

Physical Demands:
. While performing the duties of this job in all weather conditions, must be able to:
. Walk on uneven terrain for 1/2 mile
. Stand for an extended period of time
. Frequently reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; handle and grasp tools and equipment
. Spend a significant amount of time looking up and have good depth perception

Zip Line Guide


Zip Line Guide

Provide instruction and guide service for guests that zip line at Catamount Ski Resort.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
. Meet and greet all guests and answer any questions they have.
. Assist with check-in to verify all guests are present & waivers are signed.
. Perform inspection of the zip line courses, gear, and all equipment.
. Assist guests in gearing up and verify their gear is properly fitted.
. Provide clear and concise directives to guests on tours.
. Instruct and monitor guests on zip line safety practices.
. Perform retrievals and evacuations when necessary.
. Maintain daily log books, tour sheets & other paperwork.
. Provide basic first aid care when necessary.
. Assist guests to overcome any anxieties they may have.
. Safely load and unload guests from moving chairlifts.
. Cross train and cover shifts for the Aerial Park Adventure Course.
. Ensure that all guests have a fun and memorable experience.
. Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
. Skilled in providing excellent customer service.
. First aid & CPR certification required. On-site training provided.
. Display good judgment skills in making decisions.
. Follow company procedures for maintaining a safe workplace.
. Communicate clearly using 2 way radios.
. Connect with guests and interact with children.
. Maintain composure and perform under stressful conditions.
. Maintain good communication with team members & management.

Physical Demands:

. Must be mentally attentive and focused at all times.
. Must be able to adapt to climate and work in extreme weather conditions.
