50+ beers and ciders, selection of wines, family fun and 5 bands highlight 2-day event July 22-23, 2023

Hillsdale, NY/Egremont, MA – June 20, 2023

Catamount Mountain Resorts' base area will play host to a brand-new family-friendly beer, wine and music festival on Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23, 2023. Dubbed "The Thirsty Cat" Beer Wine and Music Festival, the event promises to be a must-attend gathering this summer. All ages are welcome, and attendance to the festival grounds is free of charge. Those wishing to participate in beer, wine and cider tastings will have a variety of sampling package options available for purchase – each includes a commemorative glass to take home. A vendor village, tasty food options and a craft lemonade tasting opportunity for kids will also be available. Five bands will fill the air with the sounds of summer to keep the good vibes flowing all weekend long.

Festival hours will run from 11am to 8pm on Saturday, July 22 and 11am to 5pm on Sunday, July 23. There will also be a "preview night" with limited taps on Friday, July 21st from 4:30pm to 8pm during Catamount's regularly-scheduled Friday Summer Music Series. The main stage, sponsored by Lipton Energy, will host five regional bands, with Saturday's lineup consisting of Rebel Alliance from 11am to 1:30pm, Radio Riot from 2pm to 4pm and the Rev Tor Band from 5pm to 8pm. Sunday features the Dave Keller Band from 11:30am to 2pm and Professor Louie and the Crowmatix from 2:30pm to 5pm. Festival attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to take in the music while enjoying ice-cold beverages and tasty treats or visiting the craft vendor village sponsored by Columbia County Tourism.

The "stars of the show" will be the diverse variety of over 50 beers and ciders, including a great mix of many different styles of beer including IPA's, DIPA's, wheat beers, sours and more from select breweries throughout the region. Fifteen wines from around the world will be offered at the Wine tent sponsored by Copake Lake Realty, with a variety of styles and vintages to choose from. And for kids or designated drivers, the festival features a Craft lemonade tent sponsored by Claverack Well & Pump where guests can mix-up custom lemonade concoctions with a variety of flavor mix-ins.

During the festival, Catamount will also be offering additional pay-as-you-go options to participate in scenic chairlift rides, the aerial adventure park or zipline tours (subject to reservation availability). Food options are anticipated to include festival-friendly foods like chicken wings, pizza, pretzels, loaded fries, burgers and other options to accompany frosty beverages.

More information about the festival as well as special early-bird discounted rates on tasting packages can be found on www.catamountski.com.
