Junior Racing Programs
The Junior Race program is for kids ages 7 to 20. Participants in the Junior Race program spend more time in the gates and actively compete. There are two different options within the Junior Race program. The first is the Interclub program, which features a more recreational orientation and includes competitions at five different ski areas per year. The Tri-State program is for more aggressive competitors, and features coaching at Catamount and racing throughout the region most weekends of the year. Regardless of which program your child is in, you can count on this: your children will have a ball while they improve their skills.

Wednesday Night Racing
Gather some friends and team up for Catamount’s Wednesday Night Racing tentatively starting January 3rd and ending February 7th.
The teams will consist of 5 racers per team with 2 runs per racer. On the 2nd run the order is reversed. Scoring is based on a points system and there are penalties for no-shows and no second runs. Collect individual points for the Awards Banquet at season’s end.
Don’t have a team of 5? Don’t worry. We can put teams together for you. We understand your desire for fun and the need for speed. This is a great time and place to have fun, show off what you have and earn your bragging rights!
Tri-State Racing
Catamount’s TRI-STATE Race Program is for the seasoned racer. Children find TRI-STATE to be the next stepping-stone in racing after the Interclub race team. The TRI-STATE Race Program focuses on a more intense concentration of racing skills, tactics and timing in order to take the young racer to the next level. TRI-STATE racers travel to and compete with other ski mountains in the Tri-State region. U12/14/16 is for ages 10 to 15 and U18/21 is for older racers, ages 16 to 20. TRI-STATE race training is held every Saturday and Sunday from the first available weekend in December thru the end of J.O. Qualifiers. (except on race days) from *8:30 am to 2:00 pm with a 1 hour lunch break (unsupervised). All team members must have a season pass and join the US Ski Association and TRISTATE Racing Association (forms will be mailed). Helmets are required for training and all racing events.
