“Conquer The Cat”

Conquer The Cat Registration Form

An exclusive program for experienced adult skiers

Are you a skier that has reached a plateau? Do you struggle with moguls, steeps, spring snow, fresh snow, icy conditions or are you just trying to keep up with your buddies or spouse? We can help. The Catamount Snowsports School is introducing a new program that caters to experienced adult skiers. The program will run for 8 weeks on Saturday mornings for 2 hours each day. We will start at 8:45 am and ski until 10:45 am; we will be able to board the lifts without waiting in line. The group sizes will be small (approx. 6) and will be led by our most experienced ski teachers. Groups will be determined by ability levels and individual desires. Due to the expected high demand we are going to limit the number of participants. If you are tired of traditional lessons, stuck in a rut or are just looking for some new ski friends, this may be just what you’re looking for. You will ski with the same ski teacher for the duration of the program while exploring different tactics and drills with coaching aimed at your goals, while developing friendships and camaraderie. "Women's Wednesdays"women's

For six Wednesdays beginning on January 7, Catamount Ski Area offers Women’s Wednesdays, a series of supportive and challenging ski and snowboard clinics for women, taught by PSIA-certified women instructors.

Groups are small and arranged to address each individual’s experience level and aspirations, from those who have never skied or snowboarded before to those seeking to refine their skills on more difficult terrain in all conditions.

“The emphasis of the program is on having fun, making friends and becoming better skiers and snowboarders,” says Jenny Post, director of Women’s Wednesdays. “The paradox in snow sports is that confidence is necessary to both enjoyment and improvement on the snow. This collaborative program offers just the right mix of skill development, encouragement and challenge. When we feel confident, breakthroughs happen.”

Each Wednesday begins with coffee, a morning warm-up, and a one and one-half hour clinic for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. After lunch, there's often a special presentation by a day spa, a snow sports gear and clothing supplier, or a health and fitness professional.

The six-day package costs $289 (the one-day package is $57) and includes a full day lift ticket, clinic and lunch. Discounts are offered to season pass holders and rental equipment is available. The program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
